Rest. Reconnect. Renew.

Sky Meadow offers a variety of hidden respites, serene views, and unique environments to help you rest, reconnect, and renew your purpose. Various indoor and outdoor gathering spaces provide a nature-centered canvas for meaningful retreats. The land on which our retreat center resides has a rich history and unique energy. It’s a perfect place to slow down, get away from the stress of the world, and reconnect with yourself and the healing beauty of nature. Scroll on to explore a few of the many unique environments and amenities we offer across all of Sky Meadow’s 115 acres of beautiful hills, gardens, ponds and woodlands.

Yoga + Meditation Floor

This welcoming area is perfect for talks, presentations, sharing circles, yoga practice, group workouts, or even as a canvas on which to create a unique altar or focal point for your event. Large windows bathe the space in beautiful light and provide lovely views of the gardens while you gather. At night, twinkle lights around the space provide soft ambiance.

Retreat Barn Lounge

The main level of the retreat barn includes several couches and sitting areas, plus a beautiful soapstone woodstove that’s perfect for cozy evenings. A Bluetooth-enabled sound system is available, as well as a piano, various musical instruments, books, puzzles and yoga equipment on-hand for up to 25 people. Free and fast Starlink wifi is available throughout the barn space. A flat-screen television or HDMI-equipped projector can also be made available by request.

Retreat Barn Back Porch

The back porch of the barn is the perfect place to kick back in a hand-hewn rocking chair. Its north-facing orientation helps it to stay cool and shady throughout the height of summer. The view overlooks the animal pasture and offers a tranquil space to read, journal, or enjoy a morning cup of tea while you watch the chickens and sheep roam.

Retreat Barn Dining Area

The Retreat Barn dining area features a buffet station for serving, tables & seating for up to 25 people, and our well-stocked tea & coffee bar. A variety of plates, bowls, cutlery, mugs and more are easily accessible so everyone can help themselves. (Dishes pictured are from a recent catered retreat. Please visit our Retreat Packages page to learn more about our in-house catering!)

Retreat Barn Kitchen

Our kitchen comes fully equipped with two sinks, a fridge & freezer, 6-burner range and oven, microwave, food processor and toaster. All you need to make and serve meals for a crowd is here, with numerous pots and pans, chef’s knives and cutting boards, baking and serving dishes, plates, cups, mugs and cutlery for 25+ people. A range of organic herbs & spices are also on-hand for your use.

Tea and Coffee Bar

Our tea & coffee bar comes well-stocked with organic, fair-trade ground coffee and a variety of black, green & herbal teas. Hot tea water is available on tap at the kitchen sink for extra-convenient brewing! Make coffee with the drip brewer, French press or pour-over. A minifridge provides convenient access to milk & creamer. Finish off your cup with a spoonful of delicious local honey from one of our neighbor apiaries.

Dance Pavilion

A few steps from the Hobbit House, this unique structure offers a gathering space in the round perfect for dancing, sharing circles and more. The roof shields you from the elements while the screened windows let in all that clean forest air (and help keep bugs out!). A large central firepit and Bluetooth-equipped sound system provides an ideal space for meaningful ceremony, lively celebration, music jam, or even just some good ol’-fashioned smore-making.

Hilltop + Meditation Gazebo

As you continue to walk past the Dance Pavilion, you’ll find the highest point of the property, our hilltop that gives Sky Meadow its name. It’s surrounded by breathtaking views of the green mountains and covered in beautiful meadow grasses and native flowers and herbs. Start your day with early morning meditation in the cedar-scented meditation gazebo as the sun rises over the hilltops, and later be sure to bring up some cozy blankets for a campfire under the stars.

Forest Trails

No visit to Sky Meadow is complete without a walk through the woods! Sky Meadow’s 115 acres includes numerous minimally disturbed forest trails that feel like stepping into a fairytale world. Slow down, breathe deep and take time to soak in the beauty of the mossy groves, woodland creeks and abundance of mushrooms and wildflowers. You might even catch sight of one of our local herd of white-tail deer, who rely heavily on these woods for their winter feeding grounds.

Swimming Ponds

There are a number of ponds around Sky Meadow that are great for a swim or to cool off on hot summer days. Our favorite for swimming is the lower pond, located on the western side of the property near the Robin’s Nest. A rock island in the middle gives it its name, “Island Pond.” All the ponds are naturally fed by spring snowmelt and rainwater and remain remarkably clear and clean.

Organic Gardens

We take pride in growing lovely vegetables and fruits using organic methods and with a commitment to regenerative farming practices. A bounty of native plants provide beauty and medicine in our safe haven for endangered monarch butterflies and at-risk medicinal herbs. Fresh produce from our garden helps provide nourishing and delicious meals for our catered retreats. If visiting during the summer, make sure to stop by the berry patches for a snack on the go. 🙂
